After returning from serving in the Air Force and college, 1950-1954, Pa Pa worked for Standard Roofing in OKC. In the Fall of 1961, he was transferred to Tulsa with Standard Roofing. After a few years, Standard Roofing wanted to transfer him back to OKC but they liked Tulsa so much that they stayed here and started Frontier Roofing Co. in 1963 doing commercial roofing. It was hot tar and gravel back in those days. He did that for many years and then moved into commercial urethane foam roofing application and changed the company name to USI (Urethane Systems Inc.). He eventually retired from roofing and closed USI in the late 1980’s. Pa Pa’s roofing career spanned over 35+ years.
Construction is in our blood. Tyler’s dad, his Uncle Mark, and Don Carmichael - made him a well-rounded individual who got exposed to any and everything construction. Tyler found the love for the construction industry on his first job demo-ing out tile floors 15 years ago.His background includes working on Don Carmichael’s farm, a blow mold manufacturing plant, selling flooring at his parent’s company that used to be called Floor Haus Farming->Manufacturing->Construction
